Hjejlen

Himmelbjerget

Aqua


AQUA Aquarium & Animal Park celebrates Danish nature. Meet the fish below the surface, experience the wild play of otters, visit the badger in the underground cave and look down into the stork's nest.

The enclosure's playground and mini golf


The new playground in Indelukket is shaped like a journey through the Lake Highlands with play areas designed as a bog, forest, lake, meadow and hill landscape. It is worth a visit and is only a five-minute walk from the camp. 

Denmark's oldest 18-hole mini golf course is also located in a scenic location in Indelukket, right next to the camp. 

The Troll Strong Storm


The giant troll Strong Storm sits in the forests around Ørnsø and looks after the forest animals. He hides a bit, so you have to go exploring to find him. 

Conversation Tower Turning Point


The Conversation Tower The turning point at Silkeborg College is artist Peter Callesen's idea of ​​how two people can meet for conversation, the view and nature. Each with their own starting point. The two staircases form a double spiral and meet in an informal conversation room at the top of the tower.

Silkeborg Eagle Reserve, Raptor Show and Bison Farm


In Silkeborg Eagle Reserve you can experience the world's largest birds of prey and meet passionate falconer Flemming Sanggaard. The reserve also offers an encounter with the mighty American bison, and you can explore the mysterious Owl Forest.

Museums

Museum Jorn


Museum Jorn is located in Indelukket, just a five-minute walk from Ly Outdoor Camp. The museum was founded by Asger Jorn (1914-1973), one of the most important Danish artists of the 20th century. 

Museum Silkeborg


Main courtyard: The main building, located by Silkeborg Harbour, houses Museum Silkeborg and is Silkeborg's oldest building, but the world star who lives here is even older. The Tollund Man is approximately 2400 years old. Together with exciting finds from ancient times, he makes Museum Silkeborg a cultural-historical attraction in a special class.

The paper factory: The Paper Museum is a living workshop where you can learn about the Paper Factory and the history of paper, as well as the origins of Silkeborg. It was here, among other things, that the paper for Danish banknotes was produced in the 1900s.

The bleaching rain: Museum Silkeborg, Blicheregnen, tells the story of Steen Steensen Blicher and life in the countryside in the 1800th century.

Art Center Silkeborg Bad

 


Here you can experience changing exhibitions with both Danish and international artists in classic buildings that once housed the spa »Silkeborg Bad«. In the beautiful park area outside there is a large sculpture collection that you can enjoy during a hike here. For example, combined with the hunt for the Giant Troll Strong Storm. The park area also has a musical playground, which is usually a hit with the little ones. 

Silkeborg Bunker Museum

 


Silkeborg Bunker Museum takes you on an exciting journey back to the great military headquarters at Silkeborg Bad – led by the German General von Hanneken. The museum is housed in one of the 24 bunkers that still stand around the forests.

Dramas


Rampelys is Silkeborg's cozy and intimate music venue and cultural center, located right by the pedestrian streets in the city center. Rampelys is run by volunteers who are highly committed to delivering intimate and vibrant live experiences to the audience.

Silkeborg Libraries are a gathering point in Silkeborg and one of the municipality's largest cultural institutions. The libraries offer life inspiration, fascination, surprises, insight and perspective.

The pedestrian street system in Silkeborg consists of Torvet and Østergade, Vestergade, Søndergade, Nygade and Tværgade. The pedestrian street environment is inspired by the nature of the Søhøjlandet – yes, in fact, we have the greenest pedestrian streets in Denmark in Silkeborg.
